These are the 12 areas in and around Sunderland which have recorded the largest decrease in the percentage of new Covid-19 cases confirmed in the seven-days leading up to Thursday, November 19, compared to the week before.
Official figures also show the case rate which takes into account the number of people living in each area compared to the number of people who have tested positive for the virus.
All but eight areas in Sunderland and the surrounding area have seen a drop in the number of cases compared to the week prior.
The figures are based on tests carried out in laboratories (pillar one of the Government’s testing programme) and in the wider community (pillar two). Pictures are for illustrative purposes only.
