Over 150,000 in Sunderland have now had virus jab
NHS data shows 65,145 people had received both jabs by April 25 – 29% of over-16s in the area.
Of those to have received both jabs, 56,058 were 45 and over – 43% of the age group – and 9,087 people aged between 16 and 44 have now received both doses.

Hide AdThe figures show 150,465 people in the city have now received at least one jab – 66% of those aged 16 and over.
The data also reveals an area by area variation in coverage for those receiving at one dose of the vaccine.
The proportion of people prioritised for vaccinations, such as those aged 42 and over, is one factor that could affect vaccine coverage.
The area with the highest coverage is Seaburn, with 77.1% of people aged 16 and over given their first dose.

Hide AdNext comes Herrington and Doxford with 77.1%, followed by Hall Farm with 74.1%.
The areas with the lowest coverage are Sunderland Central and Deptford (40.1%) Millfield (49.5%) and Barnes Park (57.3%)
In England, 11 million people had received a second dose of the jab by April 25 – 24% of the over-16 population.
That includes 9.4 million people aged 45 and over – 38% of the age group.
In total, 28.2 million people had received at least one dose of a vaccine by the same date, covering 62% of people over 16.
