Before the era of hi-tech gadgets, did you love a game of rounders or street football?
Perhaps you preferred hopscotch, British Bulldog or conkers.
How about kerby or hide and seek?
We asked the followers of the Wearside Echoes page on Facebook. It’s the Sunderland Echo’s social media page devoted to nostalgia with 5,500 members and more arriving every day.
They had plenty to say and today we share their answers as well as some suggestions of our own. Take a look.

Was it your favourite? It certainly was for Wearside Echoes followers Charmayne Tomlinson, Carol Webster, Carole Butler and Sharon Cleminson. Photo: TC
4. Sliding back to 1977
Skate boards became all the rage in the 70s and here are some youngsters enjoying skateboarding in Fawcett Street in October 1977.
