We posed the question on Facebook on the Wearside Echoes page which is the Sunderland Echo’s specialist page devoted to nostalgia from the area.
Dozens of you told us where you stood as the FA Cup parade headed from Durham into Sunderland.
Mark Lister said he ‘followed the bus from The Barnes all the way to Roker Park’ while Derek Coulson ‘tried to get home from University in Leeds (of all places!) but got no further than Durham Bus Station and watched the homecoming through a television shop window across the road’.
Alan Dunkeld was at work at Thorns while Mark Gallagher was ‘in my pram watching the bus with my dad’.
Let’s take a look at more of your replies.
