Appeal to help track down children's banner missing after Durham Miners' Gala
Pupils at Sherburn Primary School in Durham have been left devastated after their display was mislaid following the Durham Miners' Gala on Saturday July 9.
It was placed in the secure store amongst other trade union banners after being paraded through the city, but was found to be missing when the group went to collect it.

An appeal has been launched through the gala's organisers.
The children at the school are now asking for groups who attended the event to check their banner stores to see if it has been picked up by mistake.
Wrapped in a plastic covering, the banner contains two poles and harnesses as well as the two separate banner images from Sherburn Village and Sherburn Hill.
Anybody who does find it is asked to contact the Durham Miners' Association at Redhills in Durham or Stephen Guy, Chairman of the Sherburn Collieries Banner Group on 07767754471.
