'Beast of the East' knocks out work on Fulwell Mill as snow covers Sunderland
Expert craftsmen had been due to install the sails to the Grade II-listed building as the finishing touch to the restoration of the mill this week.

Hide AdCouncillor John Kelly, the senior councillor responsible for heritage and culture in Sunderland, said: "The adverse weather conditions sweeping across the country means that the scheduled work on Fulwell Mill has had to be postponed until next month.
“Works will be rescheduled in the coming weeks, when resources and the necessary machinery are available to lift the final sails into place.”
