Boat towed back into harbour after engine difficulties at sea
Seaham Coastguard were called out alongside Sunderland's RNLI team after the Coastguard received a report the boat was struggling with engine problems 3.3 nautical miles off the coast of Seaham.
A spokesman for the Coastguard said: " The team arrived on scene and gathered a bearing and grid reference to guide Sunderland lifeboat into the vessel so they could establish a tow back to Seaham Marina.

Hide Ad"Once the vessel had been towed back into Seaham Marina the team secured the vessel and ensured the crew were safe and well."
People are reminded to call 999 and ask for the Coastguard in the case of coastal emergencies.
The incident happened yesterday afternoon.
