“We’ve created a new bar and the restaurant has been completely refurbished.
“It’s still a carvery, but much bigger now – we’ve got 184 seats.”
The bar, in Front Street, will welcome back punters tonight, who can enjoy a drink while they watch band Pipedream perform in the new bar.

Alan said: “We wanted to update everything, but go back to how it used to be.
“After 10 years, we wanted to start fresh. We’re very excited about it re-opening and we’re getting everything polished and ready for Sunday.
“There’s been a lot of excitement from people knocking on our doors and wanting to get back in.

Assistant manager, Leanne Swallow, added: “The bar area will bring back many happy memories to some people and we thought this would be a great opportunity to invite people along to the opening and reminisce about their past memories in The Britannia.”
