Celebrate happy times with hospice's Sunflower Memories Appeal
St Cuthbert’s Hospice, in Park House Road, near Durham City, is inviting people to celebrate happy moments as part of its Sunflower Memories Appeal.
In return for a donation, the charity will write the name of a lost loved one on a sunflower plaque, which will be planted and displayed in the hospice’s gardens between Monday, June 6, and Sunday, July 10.

Along with the plaque, donors will receive a free packet of sunflower seeds.
And the hospice is encouraging people to share photographs of their home grown sunflowers on Facebook and Twitter.
Last year, the Sunflower Memories Appeal raised more than £4,665 for the facility, with almost 300 people remembering someone special.
