Sunderland man jailed after admitting domestic violence attack

Adam McKeith, 23, of Sevenoaks Drive, Sunderland, is beginning four months in prison after pleading guilty to the assault and two other offences.
South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court locked him up after describing his victim as “vulnerable” and the case as “domestic abuse”.

Hide AdCourt documents also state that McKeith has a “record for failing to comply with court orders”.
McKeith pleaded guilty on Monday of this week to assaulting his victim and possessing cannabis on November 19 last year.
He also admitted breaching a bail condition imposed by magistrates earlier in the proceedings by contacting his victim on July 20.
As well as jailing him, the court ordered him to pay £200 compensation and to abide by the conditions of a 12-month restraining order.
The cannabis confiscated by the police will be destroyed.
