Kirk Lee Scott was imprisoned for eight weeks after what magistrates labelled as “a willful and persistent failure to comply with the requirements of a community order” and a “flagrant disregard for court orders”.
Scott, 38, of St Leonard’s Street, Hendon, Sunderland, was originally placed on a community order in September after he was convicted of assaulting a paramedic in the city on March 11 and committing theft and criminal damage on May 15.

Scott admitted breaching the community order when he appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court before Christmas.
The order was revoked and replaced with the eight-week sentence.
He was also ordered to pay £60 costs.
