Teenager arrested on suspicion of GBH after knocking on window covered in blood is released under investigation as police search for victim

Northumbria Police were called to Beverley Court, in Concord, after a man, who was uninjured but wearing blood-stained clothes, knocked on window of a house asking for help and money at 7.45am on Monday morning (October 12).

Hide AdThe force has now confirmed the 18-year-old has been released under investigation.
At this time nobody has come forward to police as a victim reporting any injuries but inquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
A police cordon was put in place around the house in Beverley Court, on the corner of Spout Lane, on Monday morning.

Hide AdNatasha Remmer said that it was a nice area and that she didn’t expect anything like this to happen.
The 22-year-old mum said: “I was a bit shocked to see the police cordon. You don’t really expect anything like this to happen, it’s quite a nice area.”
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said previously: “At 7.45am we received a report of concern for a male who had approached an address on Beverley Court, Concord, and was knocking on the window.
“It was reported that the man was wearing blood-stained clothes and was asking for help and money.”
