Three arrested after ram-raids at two Sunderland shops during lockdown
and live on Freeview channel 276
The incidents happened at 11.40pm on Thursday, March 26 at Spar on North Hylton Road and around 2.45am on Friday, March 27 at Sainsbury’s in Station Road, Fulwell.
Alcohol was stolen in the incident at Sainsbury’s and officers later located a blue car, believed to have been used in the Sainsbury’s offence, burnt out in Ridley Street, Southwick.

Hide AdInquiries are ongoing on Monday, March 30 – but police confirmed three arrests have been made.
A force spokesman said: “A 50-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman have both been arrested on suspicion of burglary. They remain in police custody at this time.
“A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary. He has been released under investigation.”
