Deserve to be locked up
'‹After reading the recent story regarding the dog that was left to die in a back yard,'‹I would like to know how '‹the '‹defending solicitor had the audacity to tell magistrates that, although, it was a serious offence it did not warrant a custodial sentence.
These solicitors really make me sick, prepared as they are to sell their souls to ensure these people escape the punishment they deserve.
People who neglect innocent animals in this way are the scum of the earth and as long as there are people prepared to defend their disgraceful behaviour, and, of course, magistrates too soft to make examples of these people, cruelty will continue to happen.
Magistrates ought to be ashamed of themselves.
