Dog rescued from cliff face by firefighter rope crews
County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service sent a specialist rope crew from Seaham and another from Newton Aycliffe to Nose's Point in Dawdon.
It followed a call from the Coastguard at 12.30pm today.
The fire crews used their working at height kit to make their way down the cliff and reach Harry the dog, who had slipped two-thirds down the cliff face.

The crews were on the scene until 1.20pm.
Coastguard teams from Sunderland and Seaham attended the call out.
A spokesman for the service said: "Arriving on scene, the fire service line rescue team were in the process of setting up for a rescue so Coastguard officers worked alongside them to recover the dog safe and well to its owner.
"We would remind all dog owners to keep their dogs on a lead when near the cliffs.
"The RNLI lifeboat, which was on passage in the area, stood by to provide safety cover should it have been required."
