During the day performances took place ranging from interactive drama pieces, with some created specifically for the event by East Durham College in partnership with Harbour and the Durham Constabulary.
Following the performances, students had the chance to talk to local services and organisations who offered support and information.
Students taking part in the event were also asked to record what they will change in their lives because of the issues that have been raised around the International Women’s Day campaign hashtag for 2017 #BeBoldForChange.
