Harbour day for Sunderland RNLI nets £1,350
The day at Sunderland RNLI was organised by station volunteers and members of the fundraising guild and included stalls and activities.
George Shovlin, a blues musician, opened the event and provided musical entertainment throughout the day in between sets by steel pan band Pantastic.

Hide AdWith a visit from Tynemouth lifeboat volunteer crew in their Severn class all weather lifeboat, Sunderland Marina was a hive of activity.
The event finished with a joint search and rescue demonstration alongside HM Coastguard helicopter crews.
James Jamieson, lifeboat operations manager at Sunderland RNLI station, said: "I would like to say a huge thank you to all the volunteers who made today’s event happen and all those members of the public who came along.
"The money raised is vital to the station and its continued work and the ongoing public support we receive means that we here in Sunderland and the RNLI as a charitable organisation can continue to save lives.”
