Ladies Fellowship unveil banner of remembrance in Sunderland church
Since September members of All Saints Ladies Fellowship, Fulwell, have been knitting poppies to decorate a Remembrance banner and the church itself.
It went on display with a service of commemoration and remembrance in the church in Fulwell Road this week and will feature in a wider service being held at the green outside Fulwell Community Library tomorrow, Saturday November 10.

Hide AdEvelyn Gardner, secretary of All Saints Ladies Fellowship, said: “It’s great to see all the community groups creating their own Remembrance artworks. “The banner was unveiled at a short service in which the rector spoke about the role women played in WW1, which is important to remember.”
The wider Fulwell community is hosting a service tomorrow on the green, featuring The Fulwell Community Singers, as well as the Mayor of Sunderland.
All are invited to take part from 10.30am.
