Lifeguards issue safety advice ahead of Sunderland Airshow
Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to spend this weekend on the seafront for the 30th anniversary of the event.
To make sure visitors understand how to stay safe at the beach, RNLI lifeguards will be stationed on Seaburn, Cat and Dogs, and Roker beaches from 10am to 6pm on each day of the Airshow.

"With such a large number of people expected, it’s vital that everyone is aware of how to stay safe when enjoying time near the water and our lifeguards will be there to offer friendly safety advice.’
