Man taken to hospital after a motorcycle and a car collide in Grindon Lane in Sunderland
Emergency services have confirmed they attended an incident at the junction of Grindon Lane and Durham Road on Monday afternoon (April 19), after a car and a cyclist collided.
A male patient was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital, but Northumbria Police have said nobody was seriously injured.

Hide AdThe North East Ambulance Service said: “A double crewed ambulance came across a road traffic collision at the junction of Grindon Lane and Durham Road at 16.37 yesterday, between a car and a cyclist.
“We transported a male patient to Sunderland Royal Hospital.”
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and police have asked anyone who has witnessed the incident to report it online at their website’s ‘Tell Us Something’ page.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Just before 4.50pm on Monday we received a report of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on the junction of Durham Road and Grindon Lane.
