Man taken to hospital after being hit by car in Sunderland does not have 'life-threatening injuries'
A man who was taken to hospital after being hit by a car outside of the Lakeside Sports and Social Club in Sunderland does not have serious injuries, police say.
Northumbria Police have confirmed that the 53-year-old man involved in the collision on North Moor Lane on Thursday, was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital where his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A police spokesman said: "At 7.35pm on Thursday, May 19, police were informed a man had been hit by a car in North Moor Lane in Sunderland.
"The man, who is 53, was taken to hospital for treatment, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. "
