County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service has issued an appeal for information in the wake of fires which it believes have been started on purpose across East Durham.
Crews from Peterlee have been sent out to fight the blazes in recent weeks, including a car burned out in Shotton Colliery, while an allotment plot in the village was also targeted.
