Sunderland residents react to emotional message left in sand on Roker beach for Time to Talk
Thursday, February 6 was Time to Talk Day and a sand artist visited the coast to share a message.
The day took place in the hopes of encourage the public to talk about mental health.

Hide AdThe words in the sand said: “She was drowning, but nobody saw her struggle...”
Brian Priest of Sunderland managed to capture the sand art with his drone before it was swept away by the tide.
This is what you said in reaction to the emotional note.
Paige Hunter, a teenager from Plains Farm who is known in Sunderland for leaving messages of support and hope around the city, said: “Hit me hard! Powerful message.”
Vicky Sibson said: “Very powerful message.”
Margaret Garrett commented: “That is a beautiful thing you are doing. Mental health is not an illness you can see but if you can help one person it is worth it.”
