Photos show firefighters dealing with a deliberate rubbish fire in Peterlee

Photos posted online by Peterlee Fire Station on Tuesday, April 20 show firefighters tackling a deliberate rubbish fire in the Eden Lane area of the town.
Crews can be seen extinguishing to skips full of rubbish, which County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service say was started deliberately.

Hide AdThe latest fire comes following a spate of deliberate fires in the Peterlee area, with crews having been called to open space fires in both Castle Eden Dene and Eden Hill.
Now firefighters are appealing to members of the public for help in bringing those responsible to justice.
A statement from Peterlee Fire Station said: “Crews have again been busy this evening dealing (April 20) with fires in the Eden Lane area of Peterlee.
