Ronnie Spector will kick off the festival with her show Ronnie Spector Sings the Fabulous Ronettes at the Playhouse in Whitley Bay on Friday, June 17.
The "original bad girl of rock 'n' roll" and her American band will perform all the Ronettes hits – Be My Baby, Baby I Love You, Do I Love You, Walking in the Rain, and more – as well as songs originally recorded by the group that became successful for other artists, such as I Can Hear Music (Beach Boys) and Chapel of Love (Dixie Cups).
Tickets for the show are £32.50 and £29.50.

Their previous Mouth of the Tyne show, back in 2011, was a sell-out, and this one is sure to follow suit, with tickets priced at £26.

Festival Director, Steve Bishop of North Tyneside Council, said: “We are thrilled to announce yet more exciting artists for the festival and further expand the diverse range of shows on offer.
