Sunderland funeral home gets behind loneliness campaign
Co-op Funeralcare in Fulwell hosted its first coffee morning open to the community and those supported by Co-op Funeralcare.
The event was held in aid of the British Red Cross and its campaign to tackle loneliness throughout the UK.

Hide AdKaren Crake, manager of the Fulwell branch said: “We were keen to promote our new funeral homes within the community as places that people would be able to find support and feel more connected to their local community.
“We’ve had coffee mornings at other funeral homes before, and they’ve always been just as successful.
“We’re very passionate about our campaign to tackle loneliness and hope there will be many more events like this one in future.”
During the event, visitors were able to find out more about the services offered by the company as well as establishing the branch as a place where people can find a friendly ear.

The coffee morning is one of a number of events being held by Co-op Funeral Care services throughout the country.
Monies raised at the events will support people experiencing loneliness in communities throughout the UK.
