Teenager helped to safety after getting stuck on Sunderland cliff

Sunderland and Seaham’s Coastguard Rescue Teams were joined by Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue when they were called out to a spot close to Hendon Grange shortly before 3pm today, Monday, March 29.
Firefighters used a line rescue team to reach the youngster, who had become stranded around 6 metres from the bottom of the cliff, and then helped them to safety.

Hide AdNorthumbria Police has said efforts are ongoing to trace his next of kin.
The crews have issued a reminder in any coast emergency, people should dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
