Metro services suspended in Sunderland
Metro services between South Hylton and Park Lane are currently suspended, say operators Nexus.
The problem is due to a “failed train” in Pallion. A picture of the train has emerged on Twitter.
A bus replacement service is operating.
Nexus tweeted: “The service remains suspended between Park Lane and South Hylton in both directions. This is due to a failed train at Pallion. The 900 bus replacement is running in the affected area.”
Passengers are advised to leave extra time for journeys.
