Air ambulance called after a man is struck by a car in Peterlee
The incident involved a car and a pedestrian on Essington Way. The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment. However, his injuries are not thought to be serious.
Police were called by the ambulance service shortly after 11.05am on Friday, December 13.

Hide AdThe man was involved in the collision with a Ford Fiesta, close to the junction with Crawford Avenue. No other vehicles were involved.
Essington Way was closed to traffic in both directions for around two hours, but has since been reopened.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called to the scene at 11.11am and had arrived at the scene by 11.23am. The helicopter ambulance took off from Teesside International Airport with a doctor and paramedic on board.
