Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash on the A19 near Seaham this evening (March 4).
The incident involved two vehicles, with one of them overturning.

Hide AdThe A19 southbound is currently closed and diversions are in place, Highways England said.
In a statement on its website, it said: “The A19 in County Durham is closed southbound between the A182 (near Murton) and A1086 (near Easington), due to a serious collision involving 2 vehicles. One of the vehicles has overturned and come to rest on its roof.
"All emergency services are in attendance along with Highways England Traffic Officers.
“Collision investigation work will be carried out. Once complete, vehicle recovery and collision clear-up work can begin. The closure is expected to be in place for several hours.”

Hide AdThe North East Ambulance Service has confirmed three people were taken to hospital.
It said: “We have attended a road traffic collision on the A19 southbound in Seaham this evening.
"We dispatched eight resources in total, including four crews from our Hazardous Area Response Team, a specialist paramedic and two ambulance crews, as well as requesting support from Great North Air Ambulance Service.
"We assessed four patients on scene and have transported one patient to James Cook Hospital and two patients to Sunderland Royal Hospital.”
