Two people taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital after a crash on the A19
Emergency services attended a road traffic collision on the A19 just before 12.30 pm on Friday (April 30).
Two patients were taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital and drivers in the area faced delays while a section of the road was temporarily closed.

Hide AdA North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “One of our crews came across a road traffic collision on the A19 around the Riverside area just before 12.30pm this afternoon.
"We dispatched a further two ambulance crews and transported two patients to Sunderland Royal Hospital.”
Northumbria Police have said nobody was seriously injured and added that the road has now reopened.
A force spokesperson said: “At 12.30pm today (Friday) we received a report of a two-vehicle collision on the A19 southbound between A1231 Sunderland Highway and A183 Chester Road.
