WATCH: Time-lapse video of preparations for new Wear Crossing
Preparatory work for the £117million new Wear Crossing is gathering pace - and this time-lapse video shows the changing face of Sunderland's riverside.
Progress has stepped up in recent weeks, with work under way in the river on foundations to support the bridge’s 105m-tall pylon.
The videos show the demolition of disused warehouses on the bridge site, and the construction of a bank on the south side of the river.
