Forecasters have warned of ‘very strong winds’ across the North East over the weekend and into next week as Storm Dennis hits the UK.
The latest yellow warning came into force on Sunday, February 16 at 10am and is due to be in place until 11am on Monday, February 17.

Hide AdSunderland is expected to see gusts of up to 44 mph on Sunday with the wind expected to cause some disruption to roads and transport systems.
The Met Office has warned that some homes in the area could be at risk of short term power loss and coastal areas could be affected by spray and ‘large waves’.
