The North East has been covered by a light blanket of snow as icy weather hit the region on Monday. But the chilly start of the week hasn’t ruined people’s moods and sledges were out in Cleadon to make the most of the snow.
The cold spell isn’t over yet as another Met Office yellow warning for snow and ice is in place from 12am on Thursday, February 11 until 12pm on Friday, February 12. Temperatures could drop to as cold as -5C in some areas, so make sure to wrap up warm.
