Ex-Sunderland striker puts boot into Newcastle United captain
Lascelles – who was appointed as club captain aged 22 – has only been capped at Under-21 level.

“For someone of that physical prowess, and that big, powerful presence, to be captain of Newcastle United, for him to not even be in that conversation, he maybe needs to go ‘something’s not quite right here’.”
