The Black Cats felt to defeat in Shropshire as second half goals from Ethan Ebanks-Landell and Harry Chapman saw the hosts come from behind to win after Aiden O’Brien’s opener.
So did any Sunderland players catch the eye in the game, or do they all have work to do moving forward?

1. Remi Matthews
Sunderland may not have been offering much of a threat but they did not look in a great deal of trouble until his error, failing to gather a cross. Very fortunate to get away with another handling error shortly afterwards. Johnson’s decision to change goalkeeper did not pay off for the Black Cats. 3 Photo: FRANK REID 2020
2. Max Power
Got in one or two dangerous attacking positions but wasn’t able to produce a great deal in the way of threatening delivery. 5 Photo: FRANK REID 2020
3. Bailey Wright
Should have scored with a free header from close range at the back post late on, but was one his side’s better performers and made one superb defensive intervention in the first half. 6 Photo: FRANK REID 2019
4. Jordan Willis
Carried off on a stretcher just minutes into the game after an awkward fall. A major concern for Sunderland with the influential defender in visible discomfort. N/A Photo: Frank Reid
