Hide AdBut despite the current global uncertainty, two groups remain interested in purchasing the Black Cats.
Both groups have been long-standing admirers of the club and include members who have experience in running a football club.
Sources on the buying side of the transaction claim that Donald remains receptive to offers and, while his asking price of around £35million remains unchanged, there is a willingness to be flexible with the payment schedule - meaning the sum could be spread over a number of years.
