Lowes has worked at the club for more than two decades, and has served in her current role during the tenures of both Ellis Short and Stewart Donald.
New Chairman Kyril Louis-Dreyfus has already made two appointments to the board of the directors since his takeover was confirmed.

Hide AdIgor Levin, a legal representative of the Louis-Dreyfus family, has been appointed alongside Patrick Julien Treuer, CFO of the Louis Dreyfus company.
A club statement reads: ”Sunderland AFC today announced that long-serving Finance Director Angela Lowes is to step down from her role with immediate effect.
“Angela has been a loyal servant to the club for more than 20 years, having joined in 2000 and been a member of the Board of Directors since 2011.
“The club would like to thank Angela for all she has done for the club and we wish her all the best.”
