He was joined by Burnley’s Will Harris – a striker who has recently been on loan at Warrington Town.
The duo have both been told they have no future at their parent clubs and are bidding to win a deal at the Academy of Light – but Dickman says no decisions will be rushed out of respect for the players involved.
“If we see something we like, it’s something we can consider,” he said, speaking last month.
