The Latics appointed Sheridan on a short-term basis over the summer, and he has led the side to seven points from their first 11 games.

Swindon are in the hunt for a new manager after Richie Wellens opted to move to Salford City earlier this month, and Sheridan has previously worked under owner Lee Power at Irish side Waterford.
Meanwhile, Burton Albion have confirmed that they are the latest League One club to see some of their playing squad return positive COVID-19 tests.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Brewers confirmed that a number of their players and staff will now self-isolate.
