Hide AdSubsequent reports over the weekend have since claimed that the Professional Footballers Association has gotten involved in the wage dispute, with Sky Sports claiming that players have not been paid in full or on time in over three months.
This is not the first time that the PFA have reportedly contacted the club, with the union thought to have written to the club's owner Dejphon Chansiri for clarity over when the outstanding payments will reach the players.
But the situation could soon be resolved, with the Star now claiming ‘promising news’ could be on the horizon.
They say that the wage dispute is being treated as the top priority at Hillsborough at present, with Chansiri keen to ‘put the matter to bed’.
