The North East has plenty of places to pick your own pumpkin however many places this year are ticketed events due to the need for social distancing and Covid-19 measures.
Despite this, there are still plenty of opportunities to get involved in the spooky spirit for Halloween.
1. Down At The Farm
Pumpkin picking available throughout October half-term week, 10am until 4pm. Tickets are on sale from Saturday, October 19 with the event running from October 24 until November 1. Photo: Frank Reid
2. Spilmans
At Church Farm, Sessay, near Thirsk, Spilmans offers pumpkin picking every weekend and the whole week up to Halloween. A car ticket costing £10 is required for entry however the money is returned in credit to use throughout your visit. Pumpkin prices start from £1. Photo: James Hardisty
3. East Grange Farm
At East Grange Farm in Durham, one ticket per car is required for entry. Tickets are free and the event runs from October 16 until October 27. Photo: Google Maps
4. Adventure Valley
At Adventure Valley in Durham between October 24 and November 1 you can get a free pumpkin with entry for children and they can carve a pumpkin from the patch on site. Entry costs £12.50 for both adults and children. Photo: JPI
